Bringing in the new year with a broken van
We all went to a fun New Years Eve party at our friend's house. We had a lot of fun but when it came time to leave; my van got stuck in the snow. We were able to get out but I guess my car heated up to fast because about 30 Minutes down the road my van overheated. I stopped at a gas station to place some anti freeze in it and waited about 30 minutes then we started down the road again. Three miles later it overheated again. At this time it was about 1:30 AM so we called the house we left but every one was asleep by now. So Eric (my husband) called his brother, which was about a hour away, to come get us. I thank it was about 14 degrees outside and I had all 3 of my kids with me. I had Eric grab the blanket that I put in my car back during the blizzard and I got all the kids out of the car seats and we all huddled under the blanket to stay warm. We all fell asleep after about 30 minutes. At 2:30 I woke up to Eric's brother tapping on the van. We all piled into his car and got every thing we needed out of the van and left. I just got my car back home yesterday and found out that I cracked my radiator. I have to get a new one & it costs about 170.00. Eric's brother is supposed to put it in today after work. So wish me luck!
